Jan 2003 - New Cutting Line in
Operation
To accommodate the demand for
soft coated glasses a new cutting line has been installed. The new machine
Bystronics Lamicut 3700 combines automatic loading, edge deletion, shape
cutting of float glass and laminate cutting all in one machine in a compact
footprint of around 15000mm x 6000mm.
The system allows for one man
operation and in the laminated cutting mode produces cut sizes from stock
sheets without any handling by the operator until the stacking stage.
Dec 2002 - Second Gas Filling
Line Commissioned
Given the increase in demand
for gas filled units we have purchased a new DGT Speedline through the
Thermoseal Group.
Nov 2002 - Spacer Bar
Bending Machine Installed
A Rjukan MB440 spacer bar
bending machine with auto in feed rack, gas hole punch, curving tool &
ink jet printer have been installed by the Thermoseal Group. This machine
together with a twin head automatic desiccant dispenser will improve the
throughput and quality of spacer frames to keep up with the demand for high
performance sealed units.

2002 - Lenhardt Butyl Extruder
Delivered
Having recently set up a
second unit assembly department we have now added a Lenhardt BEZ 7,5
butyl extruder to help with
capacity.
